Dear Ali,

I am writing to thank you for organising our two recent marquee based hospitality events for TR Fastenings.

As you know, my colleague Jim Barker and I were invited to return to Trifast Plc in March 09 by shareholders to recover the fortunes of the Company, where the share price had collapsed to 7.5p. Part of our recovery strategy was to communicate our rescue plan to suppliers, customers, and staff. A crucial element of this plan was to host a series of hospitality events aimed at communicating our intentions in the UK, Europe and Asia.

Due to the urgency required, we had no time to oversee the details of these events, so necessitating “dumping” on you all the organisation needed for delivering appealing menus, catering, bar management, tables, crockery and cutlery, music and cabaret entertainment, hostesses etc etc. for our Sussex based events.

You grasped the nettle and delivered well above expectations by being proactive, creative and best of all, cheerfully accepting total responsibility for the complete successful delivery of both events - without us having to worry any further. All my colleagues and I had to do was to turn up and socialise! Please also pass on our grateful thanks to your bar manager and chef.

On a personal note, may I also thank you for the professional advice given to my wife and I for our son’s recent wedding. We agreed to provide the “hardware” (marquee, furniture, entertainment, refrigeration and toilet facilities) whilst the bride’s parents provided the catering and drinks.

Setting up a marquee to accommodate 150 sitting guests, complete with all the internal furnishings etc was quite a challenge, especially in our front gardenl Your professional guidance ensured that the day was a huge success and prevented us from making some innocent but fundamental errors.

We look forward to working with you again as soon as our budget is finalised for our next financial year.

The food and service was top class and I could see that you all worked so hard to make our day enjoyable. As you can imagine I didn't have much of an appetite on Saturday so I didn't get to taste all of the food, but Donald did and said it was lovely.
Feed back I've received from some of the guests so far have all said the same. The food arrived hot and was well seasoned and the punch and canapés
on arrival went down a treat. My son particularly enjoyed your macaroni cheese!
We didn't get chance to personally thank your chef and his team for their efforts, could you please pass this on on our behalf. A BIG thank also to you and your colleague who did a fabulous job manning the bar.
The hall decorators are missing six chair coverings plus sashes and a 70 x 108cm table cloth. Could you please check if you have mistakenly packed these.

Thank you so much for making the day such a success inspite of the weather. You were fantastic and I cannot tell you how many compliments we have had about the food. We were still eating the leftovers on the Monday. Sorry the heat went off for the evening titbits but most of the prawns went anyway! And half of the rest.
It ended up of course being a very different kind of party but brilliant nevertheless.
Everything was delicious and you all seemed so cheerful even though you were in and out of the rain and cold.
The steel band were fantastic too - wish they could have played for longer as it certainly helped the atmosphere along in the marquee.
We need to arrange to get your dishes backto you. Incase we are not here I was thinking that we could bag them up and leave them inside the gate of the cottage on the left hand side of the archway. That's Kate, our daughter's cottage.
